Support strategies for staff

Giving feedback on poor performance is sometimes harder to do than giving positive feedback.

You need to be supportive of your staff by suggesting remedies they can apply to improve performance.

There are a number of strategies you can use to support sales staff who are experiencing performance problems. These include:

  • Counselling
  • Training
  • Coaching
  • Job aids

Remember: when giving feedback to enhance a person's performance, wherever possible give them the means and the opportunity to improve.
